I have some some good news and some bad news. The bad news is, Papa Do Run is going on sabbatical. Or a hiatus. Or something like that, and for an unspecified amount of time, but maybe into the summer. We're busy working on a lot of music and book related projects, plus some other stuff, and there just aren't enough hours in the day. So, while we're away, we hope that wherever you are, you keep on listening to those oldies but goodies. The good news is when we come back, we'll have a brand new music trivia book to tell you about. So, until we see you again, here's a little something from The Hollies - Pay You Back with Interest.

Well, I'm sure we'll all miss your regular posts, but we can understand the need for a bit of a reprieve. We'll be here when you return, waiting for word on the new book.
I love the Hollies. My first turntable was a Fisher. Okay, I can't believe I even remember this but the tuner was a Fisher 401, and when i saw the movie "Save the Tiger" jack lemmon's character had the same tuner. The speakers were Fisher XP7C's. I enjoyed the stereo store scenes in Boogie Nights with Don Cheadle trying to sell certain systems. funny.
Deborah: Iv'e never been to this blog..to keep up two wow..what energy you have! I bowed out of SWF this week because I had no inspiration to do so..but come see what did inspire me to post! Do what's in your heart.
Hi Deborah, this is my first visit to your blog. I followed you here from your kind comment on my tribute to my darling West African cat, Mandu. Thanks! I'll be here when you return. Have a good break. Hugs Jo (South Africa)
...a spin-off from the award-winning book, bringing you a "blogfull" of musical memories and trivia from the 50s, 60s, 70s, sometimes beyond. More music! More laughs! No curfew!
I'm a baby boomer who grew up dancing in the streets of Detroit during the classic Motown years, lived beside the Rocky Mountains for many years, now retired and living (and writing full time) in S. Ontario. I have one blog for rock 'n' roll oldies, and one for nature, poetry and life along the Lake.

Gotta love that old Dual turntable - the Mercedes of it's day.
Hey, I didn't notice that turntable the first time. We had one as well and it WAS top-of-the-line!

What more can I say than "Wow"? I didn't think I'd ever see one of these again. Memories...
