HONEY, WHILE YOU'RE OUT, PICK UP A BUCKET OF SOUL AND A SIDE OF EXCITEMENT...

Jackie Wilson, aka Mr Excitement, singing "Lonely Teardrops" on Bandstand, circa 1959. The song was writen by the Dee-troit duo of Tyran Carlo (Roquel Davis) and a young, pre-Motown Berry Gordy Jr. The moves are by Jackie himself. If you want the dictionary definition of "moves" just watch the video, there's two minutes and thirty-seconds of definition. What more is there to be said...?

Wow, does that ever bring back some memories...
And the question remains... Say you will -- WHAT?
Hey, I never really did figure it out then...
And I'm 62 now, so I think I'm ready, if not a bit past primetime, for the secret -- Say you will -- WHAT?

But like I mentioned -- it sure brings back memories... My brother and I always had paper-routes and we would roll up our papers after school in the garage and rock out to that song and all the others... My brother, four years my senior, had a transistor radio that he could fit in his shirt pocket and listen to it with an earphone thingie -- kind of like the original i-pod...

Thanks for another trip down memory lane...

Oh yeah, kids these days, they think they're the first at everything. Transistors with earphones, walkie/talkies with tin cans and string...we were co cool!
